Fighting The Subconscious...

Poem Artwork

She can see glory..
Taste the glory..
Mixtures of...
Sweet..
Metallic..
Nectar
On her tongue..
She tries to move..
Yet her mind.
Her flesh..
Is held back..
Held back..
by dark strong tendrils..
Attached..
to her soul..
She is with greatness..
Can see greatness...
Yet reality beats..
the heart..
into..
submission.
Light creeps through
her subconscious..
She feels
cold light..
On her ashen face..
She tries..
She fights..
Yet hope fades away in her
insatiable desires..
of freedom..
of peace..
Forever wandering..
In a lost mind..
of times..
no more.

Deep expression Erica. That subconscious can be a monster at times. You keep tagging it. hugs G
