Written as a teen.. ECA 1982-1983

Poem Artwork

She is all
covered in blood..
Under her bed hidden
She hid herself..
She ran from HIM.
Mind closed
Eyes wide
Time to die..
Must hide
Must hide
No cover..
Evil finds her ..
No help..
Only fright
Something stolen
on this night
The gateway to her soul
filled with fear..
Broken childhood despair
Just a lost soul..
Who is to weep?
For innocence taken..
Love forsaken
She wants to live..
Yet hope...
....wants to die..
Dreams disappear..
within her clouded eyes.
Clouded eyes that reflect
tragedy and pain
knowing there is
no help..
In her world..
so insane
She tries desperatly to remember
her name....
She feels cold..
Emptiness
in this storm of life..
No hope..
No sight....
Must fight..
This deep dark hole..
Iron grip has it's hold...
Doesn't want to let her go..
So Cold
So Alone
So hard to feel alive..
Within the darkness of her
clouded eyes
The innocence of childhood
finally died.
..

You elicit the emotions that you sought. Well expressed. I think you mean "iron grip has its hold" rather than "it's" hold. Thank you for sharing this. Love and peace, Regis.
