What a tangled web we weave..
When we practice to deceive..
remix/repost

Poem Artwork

Years of making a name..
Years of proving
she is worthy..
of respect..
of love..
of trust..
Not so easy to do..
When you come from dirt..
Not dirt of the
e a r t h..
Dirt of the
s o u l..
She feels like a walking cadaver..
A waste of human skin.
But she tried..
Thought she had made it..
Two sons.
Married fifteen years..
Baseball coach..
Nurse..
Sex Education counselor.
Started a place to
feed the homeless..
That grew and
still runs strong..
Real estate agent..
For many years
she was the rock,,
The one everyone
called with problens..
and pain..
She doesn't fail ..
She refuses to..
So she only takes what
she knows she can do.
She has to prove
she could do it all..
Not just to herself..
But others..
Who never believed..
Never cared..
Never loved
anything about her.
She put her past
so far behind..
She did not want to think
of where she came from..
No...
She just wanted to
forget and move on..
This was so wrong..
She didn't want to think of
pain
abuse
abandonment
loneliness..
White trash
that is how she felt..
Then it all came back
Like a tidal wave..
Knocking her off her feet..
Drowning her mind
with memories..
Saturating her in pain..
Taking her.
Making her see and feel ..
like that child of long ago.
The child with
No hopes..
No dreams..
So she faced it..
And she changed.
So she is told.
Changed from the person
she invented..
To a person she
doesn't know..
She is so confused.
She doesn't recognize
this person she has become..
She only knows..
She HATES what she sees.
She hates what she does..
She is a fake..
Deceit
Lies
She barely knows
how she feels.
She prays at times
God will take her..
End her misery..
But she knows
she is going to hell
She is her
own disappointment..
And has no one to blame
But herself.

There is deep sadness in your write and your eyes. Look again, an angel is looking back though the smile you are hiding.

A look in our mirror of self-reflection can be harsh. Looking deep into our past, we may only remember the bad, as I do. The resolve to look at the good sometimes will keep each of us going. The pain of the words above are clear.

Erica this is even more powerful than the first time I read it. You write with such deep knowledge and excellence, that should give you some satisfaction. I had a niece that I used to counsel, she was a dynamo very much like you kept herself so busy with other peoples problems helping them "face their faults" etc,but never her own. This is the way many avoid having to face the truth of their lives. You have done this too by what you say, only I know that you have faced what is truth. I have to wonder why you can't accept it and move on.You certainly have made a life for yourself. Do you think you have become a perfectionist where yourself is concerned? Are you expecting the impossible from yourself? there is no one on this earth that is perfect Erica we are all stained and hoping to make it to the heavenlies;-)All the best to you.You are worthy in God's eyes!

Erica, scars are a dreadful disease. As long as there are others out there that need you it is all worth our existance. Well written.

Dear Erica:

What a moving write this is. You have achieved so much with your hardwork and kindness. Please do not lose yourself as others might lose you. You have to always remember - You are a valuable person to many, and they need you.

God did not create any loser. We are born to win, and we can if we look to Him. Very deeply moving piece.

BUT NOT THE WASTE OF A LOVELY LADY, God won't take you yet, you have so much to give, and have given, but sometimes one should let other give back, great honest write, stay strong, life turns!!
