Slowly something began to blossom

Like the germination of a seed

Slowly making its way above the surface

Calling for a show of discretion
among their peers

Due to the unknown,

Yet sudden intensification

of their feelings between each other

It wasn’t sought, attempted or expected

It snuck up on them

Just as sunrise
