Poem Artwork

 Beauty of a harps sound

Wooden stringed harp crafted

with hands of a master

A lady so fair,  blue silkin gown flows

lavishly round , lovely in her beauty

Placing her loveliest of dainty hands

against the strings, lightly she begins to play

Her hands elegantly lifting gracefull

one then the other upon the strings

Soft then emploring movements reminate

musically throughout the ampitheater

The lady playing her beautiful handcrafted harp

is simpatico to the surrounding souls

of violins, notes pristine  of the oboe 'n flutes

A light rain, thunder rolls, lightening sharp,

her dainty fingers glide in eloquent sequence

as not to disturb the graceful movement

The rain, the clouds, sunshine apears,

a vibrant rainbow misty hues as was the

storm vibrant in its sound

The lady played her harp eloquently,

the rainbow is pale, her harp she plays

with grace as her dainty hands gracefully

move along the strings, falling star appears,

make a wish, the lady's music of the harp's

eloquence is quiet

The harp's music is lovely and the harp is symbolic; your words awaken thoughts and emotions, Mary Ann. Thank you. Love and best wishes,

Beautiful and elequent is the lady that plays the harp. Music so softly played makes you want to stop and listen for her as she plays. WonderfulLY penned Mary Ann. George AKA THE WISE OLD OWL

I ran wild this weekend and bought an electronic synthesizer. It has a harp. I plucked it for a bit but settled on a steel guitar. This time. Patrick

As a lover of the beautiful music of the harp, I was lost in your vivid descriptions. What a lovely portrayal of an evening at the Ampitheatre, where not even thunder could drown out the splendor of the experience. Wonderful read, Mary Ann. Joy L. Hale

The sound of the harp conjures up many images of serene beauty, a magnificent instrument but to have is become silentis sad for the woman playing. Well thought out piece...

Be always safe,

I love the harp, and love to watch one being played. It is such a beautiful instrument and takes such grace to play it.
