A tale that is true !

Fat rat woke up feeling hungry
Fat rat woke up feeling angry
Fat rat did not know he'd been eaten
Fat rat ate his way out of the lion.

Fat rat looked around the pound
Fat rat heard animal sounds
Fat rat saw he was in a zoo
Fat rat thought, "Yummy this will do."

A: Fat rat went for a stroll
Fat rat had just seen his aperitif,
An alligator showing his teeth.

B: Fat rat saw a big baboon
Soon the boon was gone.

C: Fat rat still wanted more to munch
Saw a cheetah, gulp, crunch, "nice lunch!"

D: Fat rat strolled a little more, he saw
A baby dinosaur, hmm I thought you
Were extinct, ha-ha, you are now."

E: Fat rat saw an elephant with large ears,
Are you Dumbo? Hmmm now, I will never know.
Fat rat said as it disappeared.

F: Fat rat saw a little fox, "I'll take two,
Keep one in a box.

G: Fat rat ambled a little more,
How do you do my dear Gnu?
Such a delight digesting you.

H: Fat rat saw a little hare,
"Not very rare, be good
Down there."

I: Fat rat saw an iguana,
"Not as tasty as a banana."

J: Fat rat caught a little Jackdaw,
"Very tasty, but I need a few more."

K: A kangaroo came hopping and hop, hop, hopardy hopped down
Fat rat's mouth,

L: "I don't mean to alarm yer"
Said fat rat, eating a Llama.

M: "Monkey swinging in a tree, the
Monkey swung, right into me, yummy," said fat rat.

N: "One mighty trek, to eat a Narbalek."

O: "I can see you, Mr Ostrich, hiding in the sand,
Nice -sandstrich-"

P: A Penguin, eating a fish, how cool. "My favourite dish."

Q: "Make way for the Queen," someone said,
Fat rat was, royally fed.

R... "Well I'm not going to eat myself."

S: "Swan, you're a swan, you're a swan, oh go on, now
You're gone."

T: Tiger, tiger burning bright, swallowed completely
Without a fight.

U: Unicorn, I thought you were a fable you are welcome
On my dinner table.

V: "Aww you cute little vole, you'll just fill a little hole."

W: Wow a whale; this will be a big tale."

X: "Xmas deer, is Christmas already so near?
And without cranberry sauce."

Y: Yak, yakerty yak you're not coming back.

Z: Zookeeper was drinking fizzy soda, "what shall I do you've eaten my zoo?"

"Come here and I'll tell you," gulp
Fat rat ate the keeper.

However, his fizzy soda made the Fat Rat BURP! He exploded, POP!

All the animals from alphabet zoo burst out of his tummy and cheered doing the animal ABC dance.

This poem I chose to review because it was written on my birthday! A most amusing alphabet stew. My kind of well organized and well rhymed nonsense. Patrick
