Somali faction leaders and others have today been sworn in as members of parliament, among them were warlords.

I used to be a Somali Warlord
I have always been seeking peace
But peace was hiding away from me
Surprise. I met her in Nairobi
I confessed my love to her
She cried.
I didn't let her tears leave the beautiful eyes
I cleaned them with my comfort-giving palm
I bought her gifts and presents
We agreed to forgive each other
At the UN Office in Nairobi today
our marriage ceremony was presided over
I was sworn in as a Member of Parliament
I am a Peace Lord, not any more a warlord
A law maker I am. Not a Law breaker. I was the storm of destruction But now I turned to be a wind of hope
Hardly my followers understand this
I was their leader and teacher. I told them to break the law.
I want them to respect the law
The very law I ordered them to be disobey
Will they ever listen to me?
Will they ever believe in me if I preach?
A tough challenge lies ahead. Very tough indeed
Disarmament is one way I can survive. It is my shield to hide behind
Otherwise I and peace may soon divorce

How I pray that all you hope for will come to pass Abdi Noor!
A country must have fair law and order to be of any worth...
Justice is sorely missing in the world today!

These Black and Blue Red Zone Days by Aberjhani

Just as life during the pandemic was color-coded with different hues representing different levels of danger, life in its aftermath has become shaded in similar ways. As a self-styled “Seeker of Beauty with Beauty,” (borrowing from a quote by W.E.B.
