The legislative body which is one of the three wings of a state has been sestablished for Somalia. The Executive and judiciary will soon be formed. Thanks to IGAD countries who gathered in Kenya, with the sponsorship of EU, to facilitate the Somali peace Talks. IGAD stands for Inter-Governmental Authority for Disaster in the Horn of Africa.
Evil had its eye cast on the motherland
Winds of war whirled around its waist
People took up arms to kill each other
Bloody spears shed blood of the innocent
Somalia was plunged into chaos and strife
Fire of anarchy licked it away like a bush
Hunger and disease claimed highest toll
Drought and famine tightened the fix further
But there is light at the end of the tunnel
In the horizon of despondency we see hope
A Somali parliament was set up in Nairobi
Somalia is in a sound recovery process
Momentum of progress is quite encouraging
Hopefully the patient will pull through.
