A President for Somalia will be elected soon in Nairobi by the newly-formed parliament. Some of the candidates are Warlords and we are afraid to slip into chaos if he loses the elections. So I need to alert Somalis early enough so that the threats would be minimized if we prepared ourselvs long before the incident took place.
I am in the Parliament
I am a sworn-in member
I have deep aspirations
To become a president
Among the contestants
I am the best candidate
I killed enough,
Destroyed enough
I control pieces of land
Call myself many Titles
I tour the World round
I travel for arms shopping
Should parliament elects me
I demonstrate high degree of loyalty
I have sound national spirits
My moral awareness is so high
Should parliament fails
I come out with my colors as a warlord
A leopard can be old
but never loses it spots
A lion can be old, too
but never loses its claws
So painful it is to lose elections
In my soul a wound shall be left
If you don't elect me president
I shall pick a fight with peace
Early enough be alerted, Mr. MP
Push me not to civil war again
I can't buy your vote
I run short of coins
But I have bullets
With them I can buy enough time
A great write, but It all sounds so dismal and without hope AbdiNoor! I pray it will take a turn for the best so you and your country can have a chance at peace and prosperity!God be with you!
South Baltimore serves as the backdrop for this gripping story of three brothers leading very different lives but joined forever by the secrets of a painful family past.
