Somalia has become a dumping site for nuclear and industrial wastes. Containers have been washed ashore by the Tsunami waves. They have lethal contents inside them and burst anytime now. Nobody seems bothered with our plight. Experts wait for a government to authorize taking action but these containers wait for nobody. With the heat of the sun they may make cracks which can lead to sudden explosion. It seems that the whole world is conspiring us to face a merciless and rather painful death. If that was not the case we would by now have had removed these containers of death. We need to protect our marine life not for the benefit of Somalia alone but in the interest of the world in general. If you can get time, please read dumping in Somalia from Google.com
N.B I call the sea Leyla just for conveneince
Telephones rang in low tunes
Time to rape Leyla approached
Tough deals made in the dark
Messages exchanged in coded form
Captain kept standby in high seas
Instructions came. Dumping started
Leyla resisted the abusive move
It sent angry waves up in the air
It aimed a slap at the vessel cheeks
But virgin Leyla was overpowered
No one came when it cried for help
No nation, no people, no coast guards
Cargo of evil released into her body
Leyla became pregnant with poison
As delivery time drew closer
God sent a midwife called Tsunami
Leyla gave birth to babies of death
Sealed containers washed to the shore
Many of them scatter along the coast
Contents could be nuclear waste
They could also be industrial waste
Explosion or leakage is highly likely
We are facing a danger of extinction
Unknown diseases already claimed a toll
Hospitals work longer hours than usual
Good-bye World. We are about to perish
No one is helping us remove these containers
We are a victim of International Conspiracy
Or we made to understand it this way
If we all die tomorrow please don’t feel sorry
Just come and take what we left behind

Reviews of "If We All Die Tomorrow Please Don't Feel Sorry "
Dear Brother Abdi-noor,I hear you loud and clear. I'm enraged that the powers that be don't care. When will people understand that what happens in Africa will happen worldwide. Our species originated on this continent and when Africa dies the world will die as we know it. I send you prayers for comfort and strength as you bravely sound the alarms. None can say that you slept on your watch. Much love. Mikii
Sadly, and horrifyingly, we have been dumping toxic waste into our many oceans for a very long time now - and one day, we may all pay the price for mankind's callous greed.
This is a pointed and shocking write, Abdi Noor. Once the waste is dumped, it seems that no one cares. We have leaking containers in the San Francisco Bay, too. Here, activists have been trying to get them removed for about 20 years and no one seems to hear the cries. Even within our own eco-system, it seems that our voices fall upon deaf ears. I hope that someone will come and take the containers from your shores, but somehow I doubt it. To remove them would pose danger to whomever was trying to do so. Instead, they will take their chances, and just "hope" that there will not be a problem. It is so short-sighted and just plain wrong.
Take care,
Sherry
Abdi Noor, I'm stunned by this incredible write!
I haven't heard anything about this, and I watch the news
avidly. How can this be? Why aren't other nations governments
concerned as you said, if they burst they can corrupt the ocean
and only god knows what the depth of contamination could be. this
is a very worrisome problem. I'm going to write to our government
right now. I'll email my congressman now too. This is a terrible situation. I'll keep you and the situation in prayer. Thanks for telling us and please keep praying.
Love,
Eileen
