The war in Somalia has not only devastated the physical structures of the nation but also played havoc upon the minds of the people. And worse still, there are no centres to treat people suffering from post-war trauma, leave alone other psychological problems inflicted on them by the war which has been raging on over the past 15 years.

Today is not my day
It is a day of rage
Everthing I touch
Turns out to be a mistake
The man inside me tells me to quit doing
Please say prayers for me
I am suffering from a post-war trauma

Today is not my day
It is a day of suspicion
Every person I meet
turns out to be my enemy
The man inside me tells me to run away
Please say prayers for me
I am suffering from a post-war trauma

Tody is not my day
It is a day of fear
Every object I see
turns out to be a thorn
The man inside me tells me to skip
Please say prayers for me
I am suffering from a post-war trauma

Today is not my day
it is a day of illusions
every hope I dream of
turns out to be a hallucination
The man inside me tells me to weep
Please say prayers for me
I am suffering from a post-war trauma

Please provide me a center of treatment
I want to heal from the wounds of war
I can be of some help to rebuild my nation

My dearest Brother Abdi-noor my heart is painfilled as I pray for you and yours. I send positive energies to you as the God in me salutes the God in you. Namaska! Stay strong Somalia and the world needs more men like you. If you fall we all fall. We who love justice, love and are inspired by you and your struggle. Keep the world aware!!!

Abdi,

This is a beautiful poem, though heart-breaking in its content,
that is also where the beauty is contained. Your compassion
is throughout this whole piece and through that...you open eyes!

"The Man Inside Me" is a loud call for Justice knocking the doors of The United Nations Organizations; - THE BABYSITTER OF THE "BENIGHTED NATIONS"* - and The Dame-in-waiting for THE FIVE LORDS ENGINEERS OF WARS and manufacturers of WAR´S TOOLS.

Where are the lawyers of Somalia? Where are the defenders of Huamn Rights, Democracy and Humanity? Where are those that received medals for bringing "Peace and democracy" to Somalia? Where are the Muslim leaders that enslave the majority of the population in Somalia?

Is "PEACE" the key-word for "DemonCRACY" - meaning the vehicle of the Devil?

"The Man Inside Me" cries for Justice now, while the Muslim leaders of Somalia keep their slaves´ money is Swiss banks, and enjoy the beauty of silk rugs and ride on prized horses.

"WAKE UP SOMALIANS!"
This is the main call of this poem, "The Man Inside Me".

Andre Emmanuel Bendavi ben-YEHU

Abdi Noor I'm so proud of you for taking on those
who suffer so much and giving them a voice, along
with your own of course! This is heartbreaking!
Your contry is in the news here too, which shows how
serious it has gotten. My thoughts and prayers remain
with you and yours! With caring people like you, we can
hope for a better future!

Love,
Eileen

This write pulls hard on my heart Abdi-noor. I will not try to say that I understand what you are going through, but I will say that I hope tomorrow will be a better day for you and that at some point there will be people who come to help you and your country heal. I will say a prayer for you and for Somalia.
Take care,
Sherry
