This story took place in Mogadishu, Somalia. It is all true . This is only the surface of a crime hippo swimming in the boody rivers of Somalia. If I show you the beast in full view I am afraid I would cause some unpleasant feelings to the reviewer. I KNOW WHAT IS HAPPENING IN THE GULF STATES AND THROUGH HERE I SEND MY DEEPEST SYMPATHY TO THE AMERICAN PEOPLE IN THOSE AREAS AFFECTED BY THE KATRINA WINDS. THANKS
ABDI-NOOR

Just beside the dusty avenue of Soddonka
Between Al-Baraka and the NBC building
I boarded a bus to visit my ailing Mom
I was worried about her health condition
But sometimes your worries are so minor
You see other people with bigger worries

Not too far from my seat I saw a lady
I noticed the sadness camping on her face
The middle-aged women lost her two kids
They perished in a space of two weeks
They died from hunger and malnutrition

On my way back home I took another bus
The passenger next to me was worried too
She told me a more horrible story while crying
Her husband was killed before her eyes
Children too were looking on helplessly

I rushed to a friend in a nearby office
Before I took a seat he picked a photo
He told me he recovered it only today
The photo was taken in old peace days
"She is Mom" he said as he kissed her
She was killed ten years ago by gunmen

The I ran away from him to seek refuge
I jumped in the third bus to my house
I met with the most horrible passenger
This time it was a boy, not a woman
We had our shoulders rubbing each other
"Please keep away some distance" He said
My shirt has the stains of fresh blood
I was sitting next to a murdered man
Just now in the area of Busleey Gaab
A man was shot in the head by militia
I was sitting next to him in the mini bus
Do you know these white brittle pieces"
He asked while pointing his grey shirt
"No" was the only answer I could pick up
”They are the shattered pieces of his brain”
"I flinched back with shock and consternation
”How does it feel to be at such a crime scene”
Are you not terrified" I asked him.
With elevated emotions he said "NO"
"I'm happy" he added a bit awkwardly
"I could have died with him on the spot
But when the bullet was through with him
It didn't hit me as its next target
It just flew away. I heard it wheezing”
Has he any reason to be happy?

Abdi Noor this sounds more like a hoorific nightmare than reality. However looking at what has and is ocurring here in the gulf states as a result of a hurricaine ,it too seems a nightmare, but is reality. We must never stop seeking Creators grace and guidance! God bless you, your family, and nation, my friend!Keep the faith!

Joy and Peace,
Eileen
