Man is protected by laws and laws are protected by a government. Man's life must be governed by certain laws otherwise he would just live like other animals.

In the good old days
We had indigenous weapons
We had bows and arrows
We had spears and axes
We had sticks and machetes
We knew how to control them
We all carried weapons of same nature
Only the quality of fighters differed

When tribes fought
They had a limit to go
They never killed everybody
Women and children were respected
The elders were not killed either
Nor were they taken as Prisons of war
They were spared from the spear
They were regarded as non combatants
The tribes knew how to handle disputes
They had effective customary laws

In these days of modern technology
An alien weapon intruded our lands
Its name is GUN.
Whether small or big it is dangerous
It spits fire with just a single touch
It broke the balance of fire possession
It destroyed the cultural ethics of war
It must be in the custody of a government

But we have no government in place
No one registers its entry and sales
No one monitors its use and circulation
No one is responsible of our security
We live in Somalia at our own risk
