Abdi Noor, you have it dead right! Education is the only way to bring balance to anotherwise skewed society where only a few warlords with guns backed by certain politicians rule by fear.
Keeping the rest of the people impoverished and too frightened
to do anything because they are iliterate. Excellent write!

STUNNING!! This is just so stark and clinically, yet most movingly stated and penned, Abdi - right between the eyes, no messing. When God is all you've got, God is all you need - and is the only one who can truly bring the miraculous sea-change that is required. Powerful write, Abdi-Noor. The things that are happening around the young ones - the next generation - are scary -- to them this is what life is about, this is what they are living for, this is whom they are striving to become. Profound question - where are we heading to?
