IDP stands for Internally-Diplaced Populations. The people in the IDP camps in Somalia live in appalling conditions of destitution, neglect and and poverty.
The food is not enough
They hardly eat a meal
They are malnourished
They are hungry kids
They are IDP children
They live with shortages
The water is not enough
They carry blue jerigans
They fetch unclean water
Their Sanitation is poor
They scratch itching skins
They wipe away acid tears
The shelter is not enough
They live in a makeshift room
It is built of plastic sheets
Furnished with empty cardboards
The lucky ones sleep close to mom
Over the meager heat they scramble
And no one bothers about their quandary
The government is celebrating its 1st anniversary
In big hotels they held expensive receptions
Their speeches missed The plight of IDP children
Is that not a shame?
This is a slap in the face of "humanity." The shame of it is that it should never exist. I believe that the world is in the worst shape it's been ever. It's time for "real" change or it is going to be too late. Thank you Abdi-Noor. Love and peace to you.
Yes, Abdi, it is a crying shame! A blight against mankind's evolution. Yet, we, the people of the world, must have courage and raise our voices, and assist in anyway we can, always causing attention to be paid to such widespread and horrible inhuman conditions. Write on, "Ye Wide Awake Poet," write on!
This should be in the news every day until the leaders wake up to thier responsibility to their people. It is a shame and one that I hope is corrected soon. We all have to share in this shame if we lie back and do nothing about it.
I can only hope and pray that your constant watch over and exposing of these matters, and your compassion for your people and nation will one day bring about the necessary changes that will help to correct this horrendous situation! May there soon be an answer, Please Lord!

Shame is too light a word..For the religious is this not a sin, how dare they aid in the creation of hell on earth. When mankind discards its children it is already dead. I am constantly saddened by the inept in power. Mikii
