There are contests and competitions for varying positions in the civil service which are judged by corrupt commiittees. They are bribed and sometime leave behind those who deserve the post. A teene age boy has not been selected for the national sports team and in his place another player with lesser soccer skills has been taken. So he is now talking to his girlfriend who couldn't find him in the released list of players.
When you watch the stars

Though kept in the shadow

When this dark cloud moves over

It is never about people or qualifications, it is about paybacks or payoffs; so very sad, indeed. Somehow you have found a soft place amid all this injustice. You are an amazing writer, may your pen never run dry.
