Tribalism is another form of slavery. It only leads to the road of destruction. It is a way of making the young generation firewood to cook food for the walords and traditional chiefs. This is happening before my own eyes everyday and I can neither stop it nor watch it. Painful.
In their physical appearance
They are a typical human being
They look just the same as we do
But internally they are different
They are stone-hearted creatures
Their eyes never blink from danger
Their hearts never come out for mercy
They have no feeling for human concerns
Inside them they carry dry souls
They tell young boys to go into fire
They expect Them to burn themselves up
They say we are the traditional elders
We are the tribal leaders
Your life belongs to your tribe
Your clan is your legitimate owner
Die for it
Die for us
Die now
Die
It is tragic, Abdi-Noor, but how different is it for any Warrior? When there are no armies to be found, we will find tribes with members who have the honor of dieing for the cause, whatever it may be. The young ones are able to be programed, so they are the chosen ones. Soldiers, suicide bombers, terrorists, they really all perform the same function for the "cause". The question becomes, is the cause worthy of dieing for? Excellent poem!
Take care,
Sherry

Abdi noor, this is too sad to contemplate! How evil the heart of man is without the Creator's love. This is why those who know Him must be vigilant to pray, that these stone hearted people will be touched by God to awaken the spirit within them, so they can change. Only then will the world be a better place! My thoughts and prayers are with you.
