Somali children who were born during the civil war years are already teen agers who have their guns slinging down their shoulders, shooting and kiling anyone who stands their way. If the present situation of lawlessness continues we shall produce the deadliest thugs in the world.
Trapped inside him are bitter emotions
They are licking him up with acid tongues
And the build up is intensely growing
He needs help and he is not getting it
He is instead pushed to margins of despair
He knows no way to air his grievances
Or the channels are not well in place
He hides himslef from himself inside himself
He listens to the sound of unspoken words
He is a dangerous bomb in the making
He would take any offer from anybody
Let's counter act this emerging threat
Let's give hope to the Somali children
my heart breaks for the children caught up in the darkness who remain unaware of the danger posed to them and by them to the world, Abdi-Noor. by writing these words, you have taken the first step in giving hope to the Somali children and to us all. a sad situation when children have become the will of darkness ... hopefully, the sound of your words can reach them ... realistically, a most difficult solution to endeavor ... but as a poet of peace you must never waver in your cause, for the benefit of these children and your country ...
Abdi Noor, I shall add your Somali children to my prayer list for children, which has grown far and wide over thses pasr several years. It is a shame on humanity what is happening to our youth the world over. I fear soon God will take His grace away from earth, because of how we have set such a poor example for our children the world over. Keep writing of these sad conditions , and Keep praying.
