Regarding my library project for the Somali youth, I regret to inform you that there are no functional postal services in this part of the country. I have been trying to get other options of bringing the books you contribute to Mogadishu by all means. Now I found out that, in the meantime, I can use my sister's address who lives in the US to collect book items for me until I find another way of receiving them in Mogadishu. Just imagine the difficulty one has to undergo to help his own people with books donated by writers and poets in another country. This is Somalia.
Thanks to all who pledged to send me books to open a library in Mogadishu. It will not be a big one. I wish to start it with just a small room and move step by step. I'm sure this will help Somali students and writers. Please use this address to send me books:

Educational books for high school students are most important but other books of all subjects and novels are also a good help.

Wonderful poetry and the idea of this libary is excellent. has to be a huge undertaking Bless you.
