Somalia is about to be wiped away from the world map due to its prolonged political and tribal crisis and the widespread catastrophe as a result of the drought and famine currently affecting all over the country. Those of you who have watched the CNN yesterday may have seen the scale of natural and man-made disaster inflicted upon the Somali people.
Dictatorship made silence a rule of law
Hardly had anyone been able to speak
From a mountain of anger steam escaped
A political volcano erupted overnight
Somalia had fallen apart into pieces
Each piece is in search of the other
But no piece can patch up with another
The tribal needle never stitches up
It only destroys the thread of unity
It breaks pieces further into pieces
Until all pieces are swept into oceans of disaster
God Save Somalia
God save my country
I pray the situation will improve soon Abdi Noor! It seems that you are a voice in the wilderness, and we can only hope and pray more voices join yours to find solutions. May God intervene to help you,your family and all of Somalia.

Yours is a very sad fate, Abdi-Noor. The odds have been stacked high against you and there seems to be little hope for things changing quickly. I keep you in my prayers, but without some kind of miracle, I fear that is not enough.
