We live in a viscious cycle of conflict and chaos whcih can not be stopped unless all people are disarmed and the government institutions are re-established.
Situation well under control
Chiefs met and reconciled
Agreements signed over
Hope had filled hearts
Peace winds blew gently
But peace had brought war
Hope today, gone tomorrow
Out there in the bush
One militia shot another
No police exists there
No government stays here
Tribes took up their arms
Peace stabbed in the back
Devil took charge of souls
Both sides lost many lives
Storm of anger slowly died
Another meeting reconvened
Scores have been settled
Blood compensation exchanged
Chiefs shared a huge fortune
When you are the government
When you are the police force
When Justice is in your hands
What else do you think you are
Nothing else but a criminal
If not an animal
Superb write Abdi Noor! I pray abundant blessings upon you, your family and and your country. The world is in ever more chaos daily, so we must stay in prayer. Strength, balance, hope and calm, are needed.
PI novel set in Manhattan during the 1980s when art galleries and model agencies were the two most glamorous businesses in the world. Dangerously well written.
