The era of warlordism has ended in Somalia but we still remember his past with tremendous pain.

A warlord is the teacher
His students are militia
His pen is the gun
His chalk is the bullet
His rubber is the bomb
His library is despair
His hope is despondency
He teaches how to kill
He is a real terrorist
The real terrorist hits us where we live and breathe, he gets inside of our psyche and injects the virus of fear, which feeds and grows until we are all shaken from our foundations of strength, hope and belief. Fear will destroy not only people, but entire nations if it is allowed to manifest itself. As Franklin D. Roosevelt said in his first Inaugural Address, "Only thing we have to fear is fear itself." I think it still rings with a note of truth. Bravery is facing the things that we fear the most and doing our best to defeat them; the human spirit, when directed, shows unbelievable strength. I am glad to learn that Somalia is in a better situation, at least for the time being, and I pray that her people will find the strength to rebuild her into a great nation once again.
