I enjoyed the overall message however, no matter how I attempt to read that first line it just feels very awkward to me. It may be the use of assonance actually, which is odd, I've never really seen assounce hinder a poem but I guess here it has. Possibly it's due to the brevity of the piece, and the fact that there isn't really any other usage of assonance or illiteration so that one instance where you decided to use it just sounds very abstract, or rather obtuse and the contrast between the simplisity of the surounding content makes that one instance come off as out of place. It's a short piece, feels like a haiku possibly, although I didn't count the syllables so I dont know, but the length of the piece made that error really stick out to me. Great piece overall, in terms of message and all the other lines... just reword that first line and this would be great.
