Over the past 16 years of chaos and strife in Somalia thousands of people have died because of dressing neatly or taking some items that can relate them some kind of affluency. Now that the warlords have been chased out, the islamists have restored relative peace in some parts of the country, especially Mogadishu. I have noticed that people have started to wear good cloths and carry mobile phones. You sometimes see gold earings dangling from the ears of women which has been a rare thing to see in public.
