In Mogadishu we are having the rainy season of "Deyr" in Somalia. The the environment is so serene and so inspiring and I try to capture an image of the season
Out through my window
I see a shining green
I see drops of rain water
Drizzling down the leaves
The smell of dampened soil
Refreshes my mind so gently
I stare in the open horizon
As I watch the gliding birds
Then behind the clouds
The sun flashes a smile
I notice a fading sound
As the drops get lighter
They still retain
Their soothing powers
Their comforting effect
Is never diminished
But when I look at the sky
Love strikes me in the heart
I see beauty glaring upon me
Simply I see a R A I N B O W

Abdi-Noor; keep that promise in your heart! Hate cannot conquer, pride will fall, the proud warlords will find their weapons rusting in some summer rain storm; it will happen!

Beautiful imagery you have shared with us............The rainbow is a reminder gift to us of God's love I can only imagine how beautiful it is there as you speak of it I am allowed to be at peace with the picture your words drew for us.
