Time and again there are sealed containers washed away by ocean waves to the seashores of Somalia. They contain nuclear and industrial wastes but since we have no government the only thing we can do is to write poems about the story and wait until these containers make cracks to bring our contract with life to an end.
When there is no government
The law will be trampled on
The policing jobs will vanish
As anarchy will reign high
When there is no military
The border will be porous
Enemy would attack anytime
As the nation disintigrates
A nation without a government
Is a nation ruled by warlords
Its airspace is always violated
Its seas are dumped with N. wastes
In sealed containers of death
They are now awaiting bursting

This is a sad thing happening to this country. And very dangerous to its people.
Truly frightening, Abdi-Noor - but I fear many nations do the same - and they have functioning governments. We are all probably awaiting that time bomb.
All of our oceans have sadly become dumping grounds today.
I agree with the others Abdi Noor. Other countries who are more responsible do not want the waters being poisoned it effects us all.

Get pics. They don't even have to be hard copies. Send them to every head of state (they all have websites) and to every public official in any country you can think of. Every country has a nuclear commission, and most have human rights commission. Aside from all that, keep writing and keep writing about it.

It is the sign of the times. We live in organized anarchy. And where there are governments, laws are trampled on and corruption is everywhere. If these nuclear waste produces ill effects in Somalia, this will eventually spread to other countries. Victor
Dear Brother Abdi-Noor it never ceases to amaze me how the rulers of the world do not see that what happens in Africa happens to the world. The UN drags its' feet in Darfur, and Somalia as all of the poor worldwide are seemingly deemed expendable. Shame on us all.

This is unbelievably tragic--and should be reported to the U.N. right away. You see, I believe that we are all connected, so exposed nuclear waste in Somalia will eventually impact us all.
You don't have to wait my friend. Just get some pics of the containers on the beach, and send them to your congressman, your senator, your local news station, and the U.N. RIGHT AWAY!
No government or military in your country? I had no idea, and have learned an important, but sad, fact. Seems this is where the U.N. NEEDS to step up and give help.
