Thank you Abdinoor for talking about this important issue. Islam means peace and we, Muslims, beleive that it is the ultimate solution to all the problems in this world. All the problems are the results of unIslamic systems such as Capitalism which encourages uneven distribution of income and resources in this world. Some countries are getting richer at the expense of others because of capitalism. This is the root cause of terrorism, world poverty, underdevelopment, crime, and evil acts. One man in the USA is richer than whole countries in Africa despite the fact that those countries produce diamonds or other export commodities. I encourage everyone to read about Islam and understand its teachings and you will sure attain peace of mind ever after.

Bold and couragious write...

Abdi-Noor, the reference to shari'a is provocative. As much as the word refers to 'inner law' of submission under the hand of God, I have no problems. As an 'outer law' of commandments and submission of all non-Muslims through the Jizyah tax, and prohibition on all non-Muslim open worship, it gives me more than problems; it becomes a corrupting strategy. Perhaps, Abdi-Noor, it is time to consider defining what shari'a means to you; and discussion between the inner law and outer law, between faith practised in love and that practised under coercion. Are your strategies so very different? Please explain, teach all of us!

Could I also ask you to answer the prohibition on Muslims having Christian or Jewish friends (Surah Maida 5:51)?

I agree with you, Abdi-Noor and I see this as the biggest obstacle facing Somalia today; the division of her people. Your government is not cohesive which makes it easy for policy to change with the wind and for factions to struggle and war. With all of this, it is the people who suffer which is always the greatest casuality of war. There is no one to look out for the people and there is no one to consider their welfare. I hope things improve for your country, Abdi-Noor. Keeping you in my prayers that freedom may soon grace your soil.
