Some leaders make unnecessary pre-conditions to feed their starving population. Yet they live in luxurious presidential palaces and give their children the best food in the world. Are they not human beings?
Her elder brother died from measles
Cholera had robbed her lovely sister
Her father has died in the clan war
Now hunger has its claws on her neck
She is a victim of war and famine
Their house has been swept by floods
In a long cue she is waiting for food
Absorbed in the horizon of despondency
She is staring in the open with no hope
Politics is something she knows nothing about?
she is a hungry child.
Just food; that is what she knows
Give her if you have
if not let others give
Stop the rhetoric
Stop the speeches
The obscenity of national leaders living in palaces while their people starve is only surpassed by traders in weapons and arm dealers. God, if we would only wake up! Thank you, Abdi-Noor, for reminding us of true humanity in a horrible world. God bless - Fergus

In the 1970 I used to represent my Government in Rome at an international forum called FAO. The talk is still going on about hunger in the world. Meantimes sports generates more money that could feed millions. Victor
