Is Silence Golden?
Silence is golden, depending on the situation, Abdi. A wise head keeps a still tongue. Solomon wrote: "A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger..." So again, it depends on the situation. Great Poem!
Good thoughts here, Abdi-Noor. There diffinately are times when silence is truly golden. Yet again, there are times when one must speak up, or else!

I suppose it all depends upon what you were thinking of saying. There are many times when I just bite my tongue in order to avoid a cutting comment. Being honest about our feelings with those who make a difference in our lives is very important, but for those we meet in passing, our words can often fall upon deaf ears or cause a hurt we had not intended.
