A government is supposed to bring a semblance of order not to disband law and order. Picture shows Ethiopian troops parading in somali soil
The rain just subsided
And the flowers danced
The children played in the water
As sun looked upon serenely
The sky breathed blissfully
And the rainbow made a smile
Bees have collected the nectar
As birds sang with ecstasy
Flapping its wings with pride
A dove immediately flew over
Shaking off a shining branch
As water sapped within drizzled
On the window of my dark room
It landed with a message of peace
Balancing itself on the lower bar
As it nudged its nose through
“Abdi-Noor” it said in a low tune
Touching a heart hungry for love
Showing eyes pregnant with hope
As they held back tears of joy
“The government has been relocated
It has the blessing of the United States
Ethiopian troops are backing it up
There will be no more fighting in Somalia
Children will go to school and play
Warlords will no more disturb you”
But that was just a dream
When I woke up everything was a mess
People were being killed in the streets
Rockets were landing on residential areas
“Where is the government?” I am asking
And please don't ask me where is Somalia
Had I known the answer of that question
I wouldn't have queried government whereabouts
