Khat, a narcotic leaf chewed mainly by people in the Horn and East Africa is known to play havoc upon the lives of its users.
High with euphoria
I landed on a hill
Where i danced merrily
But shortly afterwards
I started falling down
With depression kicking in
I was chewing khat leaves
A mild stimulant narcotic
Widely used in my country
But its hazards outweighs
its advantages, (if any)
Better stay away from it
Than losing your mind to it

Khat is very dangerous to user and the rest of society. Families stay without food either because the father had used all the money on buying khat or is unable to get out of bed due to depression resulting from khat.
