I try to compare today's warring somalia with the good old days when we had a government in place.
Sick with nostalgia
I remember those days
When we enjoyed life
With the joy of life
Building life
With blocks of life
Bridging differences
With pillars of love
While generating strenght
From the power of strength
Sick with nostalgia
I remember the days
When women laughed
And babies smiled
While watching
The beauty
Of burning clouds
Amid rays
Of a fading sun
Sick with nostalgia
I remember the days
when peace was plenty
And joy was budding
Like flowers of love
In the garden of peace
WOW, that opening line..."sick with nostalgia"..oh, those were the days, weren't they?? Shattering, heartrending write; you are in my prayers, dear (((Brother and Friend)))! Very well done!
(((HUGS))) and much love, your friend/sister in America, Karen Lynn in Texas. :( >tears! <
"Sick with nostalgia...." BRILLIANT opening; you capture the sadness, the terror, the hopelessness of what you see before you now. A shattering, excellent write--you and your family are ever in my prayers. :(
I think many of us are 'sick with nostalgia' these sad days, my friend. And it really seems now like those 'good old days' were very very good, indeed.
Sick with Nostalgia- A very painful condition-Endless fighting-Lawlessness-All types of evil.
I am in constant pain for my ailing country. It is very sad. My people are nice and kind. They welcome guests, share the littele, protect the weak, make contributions for the poor, maintain communication- we have a rich culture. One factor within that culture is a killer disease- Strong pride in one's tribe. Every event has tribal implications! Nin qab weyn iyo nimaan u qabin, Nin qosol badan iyo nin qoonsimaad badan, nin quud jecel iyo nimaan u quurin way isku dhibban yihiin.
Thank you walaalkey. Saty safe. Allaha kaa badbaadiyo mashaqada baladka ka aloosa. Assalaamu Calaykum,
Abdullahi
