Even though warlords have destroyed Somalia the people of Somalia were quite active to invest in the public sector by building schools, higher learning institutions, media houses,hospitals, water and electric companies, Banks, Telecommunications etc.

I was particularly amazed by the huge progress puntland state had reached over the past few years of ruling itself as a semi-autonomous administration in the Northeast of Somalia along the red sea.

They deserve praise and appreciation on this respect though they still have to think of a way to protect these services with the rule of law which cannot be adopted unless there is a national government in place.

They had fallen from towers of pride
But never had they fallen from grace
They had lost their steam of snobbery
But never had their spirits plummeted
Even in the midst of extreme darkness
A light of hope had kept shining within
Giving them a buoyancy to ascend high
They are the sturdy people of Somalia
Whose country had gone into a disarray
But made safely to the shores of peace
As they showed resilience in the face of misery
