...The only operating hospital, Madina, was packed with wounded, screams echoing through the corridors. Tents were set up in the hospital garden to deal with the influx, with many people nursing injuries unattended under trees in the heat. "Unless we get massive international help, we cannot cope,' a doctor said."Our beds and tents are full.' an extract from an article written by Cris Floyd and published in a somali website Hiiraan.com

Poem Artwork

In the aftermath of the bomb
Relatives rush to the scene
To lay the remains to rest
And to collect the injured
Though having nowhere
To take the wounded
As hospitals are overflowing
With the screams of patients
Everybody weeps in silence
Nobody comforts their hearts
Pain makes sounds of misery
While the echoes of tragedy
Resonate in the minds
Of weeping souls

(((((Abdi-Noor))))),

A crisis of major proportions, a blooming catastrophe effectively, hauntingly captured in compassionate verse seeking only peace...well done, my (((Brother, Friend))), please stay safe. You and your family are in my ernest prayers.

(((HUGS))) and love, Karla. *tears*

Continue to write for your poems are the sparks that ignite those who sleep into action. "All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing." (Edmund Burke)
