Women die in Mogadishu while removing rubbish thrown into the steets by men

They were five friends
They were friends in peace
They were petals of beauty
They were mothers of love
They were young Somali women
They were somali women cleaners
But in the garbage strewn streets
A bomb was left hidden in the dirt
Soon as the women began the work
A terrifying explosion was heard
All the five women died on the spot
Well before leaving for the worksite
Children said to these five mothers
"We are awfully hungry bring us bread"
But only bits and pieces of flesh
Have Reached the poor little children
In life their sweat drained in dignity
And in death their blood mixed in dignity
