Sometimes when I go to the beach or see a picture of an ocean I feel inspired to write a poem as I take pleasure in the serenity and the peaceful environment surrounding me.
As I contemplate nature’s eternal beauty
I sit on a rock overlooking the sea in awe
I stare until my sight vanishes in the open
There is a point where my eyes stop seeing
That is where the sea and the sky share love
Licking with its sharply gyrating tongues
The sky falls onto the sea to enjoy the kiss
That is where my thoughts come to converge
Love is my horizon beyond which I never venture

Lovely poem, Abdi-Noor; a true thought that the sun comes on us, unbidden, uncalled for, undeserved. The horizon is more than a sharp boundary; it calls us to places we have never been, beyond our personal horizon, experiences, learning and love we never thought could be possible.
"Love is my horizon"; it depends on from what height that horizon is seen; for love extends forever.
