With the aroma of a dampened soil
I feel relaxed as I concentrate
Enjoying the last drops of a rain
Falling intermittently on my roof
Whose sound comforts my inner soul
As it reverberates deep in my heart

I love the smell of rain, and would love to smell it in the mountains of Kentucky as we are under a severe drought as I write...help us pray for rain, the slow rain that soaks into the soil and allows the earth to drink in the moisture, replenishing the plants and wildlife!
