Under the weight of ice
I have been buried deeply
Feeling suffocated, subdued
But never gave up nor surrendered
Always had a wish to fight back
Seeing a ray of hope from within
Waiting for tomorrow to come

Supplying light and warmth
Letting seedlings to germinate
Lifting me up with delight
As the rock of ice melted away
I am a spring flower in the garden of love
