From a union of love you were conceived
In the womb of love you were created
By the hands of love you were birthed
For the sake of love you were born
You represent love in the realm of love
You are love living in love with love
You are a government from the people
For the people and by the people
You are the genuine DEMOCRACY
Not Demon+cracy forged out of greed
Built from blocks of greed to build greed
Representing greed to foster greed
You are the genuine democracy
Not the faked one of Demon+cracy
But do we have you in this world?
Where?

The sound will be to untrained ears almost the same, democracy, demon-cracy, cemo-crazy...only those with pure heart and intentions can take a land forward and protect its people.

It is so hard to find the democracy you speak of Abdi Noor! I wonder if the populace even truly knows what it is...Excellent poem and splendid question! Wish i knew the answer...

Democracy is not the fault of its own failure. Those that choose to stand idly by and complain without seeking and driving for improvement, are the creators of any democracies demise. He that will not stand to protect, improve and defend his democracy, is not a citizen. Jon Michael Willey

O, this is powerful and sad! The government only cares for you if you're rich or have the money; otherwise, screw you. Sad!! Worse if you're elderly or disabled.
