Before you finish this poetry, several girls will undergo a ritual cut of female genital mutilation. I have two daughters, Maria and Huriya who have not yet joined me here in Sweden. ´They are at risk of being circumcised uneless I take them away from Africa and that will not be possible for me till I get the right papers to legally stay in Sweden. Please pray for me and for my two young girls, 6 and four years of age, living with their mother in a refugee camp.
Agencies called for the abolition of FGM
Scholars appealed for a total ban of FGM
Mosques and churches made a big shout
Still the practice is far from being stopped
They call it a culture but it s a crime
Many girls die during the illegal operation
Many more get a life tme punishment
Urination difficult, menustration difficult
Sex is pain, marriage is more painful
Pregnancy is like a warrant of death
Delivery is the last stage of all pain
In the sweat of her agony she finally dies
When shall this evil practice come to an end?
It should be that for every circumcised girl the father should offer one testicle cut in the same way, a man without testicles can't condemn more girls to that barbaric and bestial torture, and knowing the pain himself...the practice will die among the screams of pain of that socalled "strong" sex.
After all, don't they cut the hand of thieves?
Fathers which condone and follow the practice are thieves themselves, so?
