Africa, for those that never been there, it's just a far away contnent. To the ones privileged enough to have seen her beauty, Africa is not just a Kilimanjaro picture or Victoria Falls gives birth to the Nile river, or Serengeti, or the Pyramides but much more.
The hidden pigmees tribes, the proud Masai shepherds, the Zulu warriors, the gray back gorillas and the deep growling of an old lion.
Africa is much more than that, Africa gave a few million of slaves and the President of the United States.
Perhaps, at last, the circle is complete, Africa is in all of us.

So short, such a short poem but it says it all. It is fascinating to study the histories which emerged out of Africa and the Fertile Crescent. Archeology has given us a glimpse of whole cultures spreading from there and out into Europe and Asia and down into India, and up across the Arctic and down into the Americas. Such a long journey and the beginning is blessed in your poem. May we bring the blessing to us now.
In "A Touch of Your Presence" are words that would inspire, encourage and strengthen one's soul when faced with challenges and difficulties and to know the awesomeness of God's power.
