I wonder why so many people know the answer to the problem but not the solution? I love my country very much and i truly hope with all my heart that some day some one will rule it justly. Somalia has been used and abused for so many years but we musnt give up hope. No we must continue hoping no matter what. Thank you for your beautifull poem once again I do enjoi reading your poems take care.

Abdi Noor, I think the problem is that when a country does not have enough educated people and has too much poverty,it is easier for terrorists to entice the leaders and the youth to become terrorists by telling them that no one cares for them and they must make there own rulses to keep their country and to take care of themselves and their families. It is a shame that other nations that have wealth and are prosperous, didn't get to the youth and leaders of Somalia by helping them in their need. Instead the terrorists did it,and now they are in command! I pray daily for your country, I hope our prayers will be heard soon,before it is too late!
What is wrong with Somalia? Those that have the money make the rules, and the majority, without, suffer ... those in power lord it over those who don't ... that's what's wrong. Tragic.
In Somalia ~ seventy-five percent of the population is Muslim; only twenty-seven percent of the population can read. that is exactly what is.
Based on the above reality, I have ground to stand and say that what is killing Somalia is illiteracy and religion. How can a country with a population of seventy-five percent Muslim allow a government such as the existing one in Somalia. Where are the Muslim's countries, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates - UAE? Do they think of their Somalian sisters and brothers?
"What is Wrong With Somalia?" is a picture of what the promoters of DEMONcracy leave when they come to seal the peace covenant.
Raw power lust and ill gained money, that's whats wrong with Somalia.
The poor and the workers can't protest, too many guns, and if they do, their families will pay with yet more misery.
The only solution for Somalia will be going there and hang every warlord and muslim militant, take away all the guns, and send seeds to start self supply of food. It will take a lot, and Amnesty International can for once shut-up when the world decided to do right!

Brilliantly stressed verse, Abdi-Noor. The answer, as with any of the other donor-economies, is a centralized dictatorship which is fractured by internally warring factions; it is a constant study of power plays which are tearing Somalia to pieces, while genetic "minorities" bleed and starve on a killing field where even humanitarian aid is stolen from them. It is a horrible situation for the poor people, and it is going to take outside force to solve this problem. Great piece of strong writing!!!
