Somalia is a victim of war criminals. Apart from killing of civilians they created a breeding ground for all sorts of evil ranging from illegal business to drug and arms smuggling into the country. The main resource of every nation is its own people specially the youth. In somalia this prime asset is wasted in a most horrendous manner as they are absorbed into activities of religious extremism and tribal wars. The sad part is that there are educational institutions that absorb a great deal of Somali youngsters but after completion of their studies have no where to send them for employment. Thus the young graduates will either join evil or travel to work in other countries. Trael is not easy though. they have to be prepared to face the worst tragedy ever happened in their life while enroute to safer areas. A nation who is losing its young people in war and in sea tragedies must be bleeding to death.

But today there is election in neighboring Djibouti where we expect the so-called Somali parliament to elect a president. Hope the new government will sternly deal with the issue of protecting our youth.

It is possessed by devils of conflict
Tears of pain are drying in her eyes
It is sheltering in the shadow of its misery
Pirates are investing in its sufferings
Cashing out the pain of its children
Making Somalia a safe heaven for Mafia
Who shift face within shifting faces
Whirling around like winds of the west
Giving rise to creation of war-profiteers
Running unregistered business of multi purposes
Impossible to know of their funding origins
Nor possible to trace their fading trails
They shine in the middle but dark at both ends
