As an African writer who lives in sweden, I try to document my life in Europe and look at things from any angle possible. Now let us see how new sounds are affects my life and how I am integrating with European sounds
I have several noises in my room
I have accustomed living with them
Some of them are just intruders
While others are born inside
When one dies another comes to life
The alternate switch is marvellous
The tempo is remarkably wonderful
Of all these clatters
The ticking sound of the clock
Is the one that impresses me most
As it gets buried in a recurring
Short-lived howl of a broken fan
Only to wake up with a renewed strength
When the silencing noise thaws away
The sound of my clock represents voice of peace
It shall be heard when war winds cease blowing
the tic tock of clocks, resonates within our psyche -- a sort of natural metronome in sync with our internal clocks -- there is something almost innately natural about their rhythm -- your poem carries that soothing message of peace to me Abdi-Noor -- peace and love-- Jon Michael
