Abdi-Noor, interpretation and tolerance are the greatest tools in a peaceful society -- more important than any attributes man can possibly cultivate -- other factors when attempted to be forced into a society introduce an unnatural order that always surfaces with contempt and mistrust -- diversity is the introductory mechanism that lights a natural path for interpretation and tolerance -- as soon as the universal concept of segregation or integration are introduced into the equation of a harmonious society, unnatural psychological barriers are formed -- harmony is unduly challenged -- why can we not envision a peaceful society without the mention of segregation or integration or for that matter,race? -- peace and love to you my friend -- JM
Kudos, Abdi-Noor! Naturally, 'if only' comes to mind, the if only we could transcend colour, race, ethnicity, belief, appearance, circumstance and focus on common needs and common humanity.

When I came from California to Norway and after to Sweden like a chameleon I adapted to the land, the people and the customs, never asked them to adapt to mine, I was a guest.
The problem with many integrations is the one where people are afraid to be discriminate and have a negative disposition because they are afraid.
What the author here says make sense, but to set it in practice we need to revert to be children again and accept other as they accept us, "you will not find racism in a kindergarten" the most perfect example of integration ever, then again,,,there are the parents that are willing to start world war III just on suspicion.
Abdi, This is wonderful...with hope and peace we shall all build our bridges of love, peace, integration and respect. That is what the world should be reaching for Let us strive for this.
