Today we have long hours of sunshine here in Växjö, Sweden and I wish to share it with you how if affected me as a somali immigrant in Sweden. In all over the county it is only the snow that feels unhappy with the sun today. I corelate justice to the sunshine while snow represents anarchy, war and dictatorship and extremism in the world especially Somalia.
That smile of love
Beaming from the sky
Is a sparkle of hope
As it puts life
Back to life
But
In the eyes of the snow
I see panic
As if shaken
by actions of its past
Trembling
Like a warlord
touched
by a breath of justice
Oh Lord
May the sun of peace
Ever shine in Somalia!
May the sun always shine on you, Abdi-Noor, and on your dear Somalia.
