International media I beg your pardon. Please would you stop talking about Somalia? It is not making a news anymore. It is present actions are nothing but a repetion of an ugly past that either sparks more fighting or throws the scab from an old wound. Every news item is just like a new firewood thrown into a dying fire to let it come to life or give it one more chance to devastate. On the other hand, news should be balanced and not only focus on one category: Crime. It must cover politics, economy, society, culture, technology etc. But when a nation is not producing anything more than a crime news why do you broadcast it. I think both the journalists writing about Somalia and the Somalis who listen or read them are both addicted to war.

The youth who drown in the seas
The children who die from hunger
The women who bleed to death
The rape and daylight robbery
The starvation in the camps
The explosions in the streets
The pirates in the deep ocean
The displacement and dislocation
The growing pain of disintegration
The unending political deadlock
All constitute Somalia´s daily news
whose people consume war material
Becoming addicted to tragic events
To keep the cycle of war ever moving
to take revenge and settle scores
OH.. what a loss!
