Free press is a like a tongue in an unstable mouth where the teeth (dictatorship)can crash it anytime the press is found not comlying with the politics of the regime. In many countries the press institution is set up on a Presidential Decree and the president has the power to crack it down anytime he sees it not working on his favor. Can a free press be instituted within the structures of a dictatorial framework? A free press should be born outside the boundries of a government and be protected by those it is protecting ........ the free people.
When the teeth are in action
The tongue must be careful
Otherwise a clash is unavoidable
And always the tongue is the victim

Excellent- I tend to agree with Voltaire saying he may not agree with what someone has to say, but he will defend to the death their right to say it. Eye-opening poem.
Brilliant Abdi! Sometimes people mistake what we have in America for a free press. It too is dictated to , by the money conglomerates that own it, and people should learn to discern truth, not just trusting blindly in the news they get , becsuse the spin is put on it by whichever political persuasion the media owners favor!
