I'll have my poems for dinner.
I'm starving, can't you tell?
They don't make me any money
so, I'll eat them, might as well.
I'll gobble up each verse,
each haiku, rhyme and prose;
and if they smell unpleasant,
I'll simply hold my nose.
If, on the other hand,
they end up tasting sour,
I'll use Adobo - Goya
and each piece I'll devour.
I'm done eating my poems
and my stomach is upset;
I knew consuming them
would be something I'd regret.

I think this is a very interesting resolve--a well written poem that addresses the the life of artists of all forms. How you put is so stark and in the face, it almost hurts. Thanks for this, jacqueline.
Most of us can relate to these words, Jacqueline. I like your style of writing...it's easy and fun to read...and the meaning of each poem is right there.....I'm a fan!
Questions, unquestioned discoveries, and answers in parable and rhyme…. This collection records a journey starting with a 1960s retrospective and the first man on the moon, moving to a new millennium welcomed in with a terrorist spin, family crises,
