They gave birth to us

That is
They created us.
We are lovers.
We are Romeo and Juliet.
We are Swept Away.
We are West Side Story.
We are China Girl.
We are lovers.
"We Are Lovers" is one of a series of multimedia poems I wrote on love and relationship in May of 1998. This poem is part of the "Relationship and Love" series of May, 1998. Each of the poems makes reference to a psychological, psychoanalytic, existential or spiritual theory. This particular poem points to the work of Bion. Other poems in the series touch on "Empathy", "Romantic Love As Resistance" "Ego Strength", "I-Thou" , and "Support Groups".
